Salón de las 2 Ruedas de Lyon: Motowatt presents its 100% electric motorcycle

salon de las 2 ruedas de lyon motowatt presenta su moto 100 electrica

The 2 Wheels Salon in Lyon has been the stage for a novelty that is making waves in the world of motorcycles. Motowatt, a young French company founded in 2020 by the Rabatel brothers, has presented two models of electric motorcycles that are sure to catch the attention of motorcyclists and enthusiasts of new technologies. After a year of hard work, they have materialized their project: 100% electric motorcycles, practical, powerful, and adapted for urban use. If you are looking for a bike that combines innovation, style, and performance, Motowatt may have just what you need!

Motowatt: a 100% French bike, from conception to manufacturing

The adventure of Motowatt began a year ago, with the promise of creating a revolutionary electric bike, designed for the city and accessible to all. And now, it is a reality. Motowatt has not only developed an electric bike, but it has doubled the bet with two models: the W1W and the Scrambler. This is not just a classic electric bike. No, we are talking about two motorcycles with true personality and a design aimed to be as practical as effective.

The bikes are equipped with advanced technologies such as a Cantilever monobrazo suspension and an electric motor with axial flow developed internally by the brand. A true guarantee of quality and innovation. Both models are available from €14,950 to €15,450 for the Scrambler version, a fairly reasonable price for bikes in this category. Additionally, they are manufactured in France, near Figeac (46), a true benefit for those who wish to support the local industry.

Models with personality

The W1X and the Scrambler are not here to go unnoticed. These motorcycles are designed to provide a pleasant and high-performance driving experience, with features that place them among the best in their class. They weigh 178 kg, which makes them relatively light, but not to the point of losing stability. Moreover, with a total power of 25 kW (equivalent to 34 horsepower), you will have enough to enjoy the road. These electric bikes are made for daily use but still meet the expectations of the most demanding.

The range is also a strong point of these bikes: 131 km according to the WMTC standard. It is enough for a full day of urban driving without worrying about the battery, although if you want to take a longer trip, you may need to take a short break to recharge. Good news: the recharge time is reduced to 1.2 hours to go from 20% to 80% with a 3.3 kW charger. For a full charge, it takes about 3.3 hours. Not bad, right?

An urban and modern design

One of the biggest attractions of Motowatt is undoubtedly its design. Far from electric bikes that are often perceived as too futuristic or soulless, Motowatt models have that retro-modern touch that makes a difference. The W1W offers a dynamic and sleek look, while the Scrambler opts for a more adventurous style, with a design that is both robust and elegant. Perfect for motorcyclists in search of thrills, but also for those who want a bike that blends perfectly into the urban landscape without making too much noise.
