Design: A motorcycle that impresses
The SRK 800 is, above all, a matter of style. A sporty touch that has turned into a streetfighter. The inspiration comes from the sport model SRK 800 RR, and it shows. The tank and rear are the same, but the front has been completely revamped. Goodbye to traditional fairings, we find deep radiator protectors and a classic yet functional optics. It’s a bit of the Kawasaki school, but you can’t blame them for not innovating.
The design is quite attractive, with simple lines and details such as a well-finished exhaust. The radiator feels a bit bare, but it’s a matter of taste. Upon seeing it, it’s clear that this motorcycle does not want to go unnoticed. A motorcycle that makes no compromises and does not hide its aggressive side.
Chassis: Does aluminum make a difference?
The aluminum chassis makes a significant difference in this model. The brand chose this material for good reasons. Of course, the quality of the chassis still needs to be proven on the road, but QJ Motor is well prepared to face the challenge.
With Marzocchi suspensions and Brembo brakes, the SRK 800 is equipped with quality components. An adjustable upside-down fork, a separate reservoir shock absorber, and 300 mm front brake discs should provide high-level dynamic performance. Enough to dominate the roads and compete with Japanese models currently leading the market.
Engine: 778 cc of pure power
This engine is the soul of the machine. A 4 cylinder inline engine of 778 cc that produces 95 horses at 10,000 revolutions. It’s simple, effective, and above all, accessible. It’s an attractive configuration, especially for a motorcycle that can be handled with an A2 license. It is important to mention that the engine, although limited to 95 horses in Europe, can reach up to 122 horses in its Chinese version, an impressive potential.
The transmission is done through a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter for smoother shifts, both up and down. In other words, there are no compromises when it comes to the driving experience. Add traction control, two engine modes, and a cruise control, and you have a machine ready for the road with all the comfort one expects today.
Price: Here is where it gets interesting…
The price is clearly one of the strong points of the SRK 800. The QJ Motor brand has managed to take advantage of lower production costs to offer a motorcycle that competes in terms of equipment with references like the Honda 750 Hornet or the Yamaha MT-07. If the sport SRK 1000 sells for 8,999 euros, this roadster version could position itself below 8,000 euros, or even around 7,500 €, with a warranty of 3 years. A super competitive price for a motorcycle with a quality engine and solid European equipment. In comparison, bikes like the MT-07 or the Hornet are offered around 7,990 € to 7,999 €. A price that could make all the difference. For those looking for a fun, well-equipped, and accessible motorcycle, the SRK 800 can clearly be an excellent option.
