The Voge RR 660 S arrives in a segment that needs a good revival. If you’re a fan of sportbikes, you may have noticed that the offerings have significantly reduced in recent years. But now, a Chinese manufacturer, Voge, has decided to breathe some life into the market with a machine that really grabs attention. But will this RR 660 S have what it takes to ignite our biker hearts? Let’s find out together!

An impactful style

Upon seeing the RR 660 S, you immediately feel that Voge wanted to impress. The design is sharp, aggressive, and frankly well-executed. Its sharp lines and imposing wings remind one of some European sportbikes like the BMW S1000RR. The headlights are integrated into a fluid fairing that gives it a true visual identity.

Regarding comfort, the windshield seems well-designed to deflect air without forcing the rider to stretch like a plank. A good point for longer rides! The two-level seat also adds an aesthetic plus, although we all know that this type of machine is really not made for traveling with a passenger.

Beneath the fairing, an exciting engine

Where the RR 660 S excels is under the tank. Voge opted for a 4-cylinder engine of 662 cc that develops 95 horsepower at 11,500 revolutions per minute. An engine that could easily have seen the light of day in some Japanese sportbikes from a few years ago. Clearly, a machine that seeks high revs, with a torque of 64 Nm at 10,000 rpm.

Additionally, it features a quickshifter, but only for upshifting. A pity for those who love to downshift smoothly, but something is better than nothing!

As for the electronics, it is not overloaded with aids, but it has the essentials: ABS, configurable traction control, and two engine modes. In summary, enough to provide minimum safety without taking away the fun.

Chassis: Between compromises and realism

Voge made smart decisions to keep costs under control without sacrificing too much performance. Its chassis is made of steel, allowing it to maintain a more attractive price, though it adds some weight compared to an aluminum chassis. The swingarm, on the other hand, is made of aluminum, which is a good point for stiffness.

For the suspension, we find a 43 mm inverted fork from Kayaba and an adjustable monoshock in preload. Concerning braking, it has serious gear: Brembo radial calipers in front with 298 mm discs and a Nissin caliper in the back. Enough to stop the 215 kg of the machine (without fuel) effectively!

The standard tires are CST in 120/70/17 at the front and 180/55/17 at the back. They may not be the most prestigious, but they can perform well for daily use.

A price that can change everything

Where this RR 660 S could really make a mark in the competition is in its price. With Japanese models like the Yamaha R7 or the Honda CBR650R hovering around €11,500, Voge has a great opportunity if it offers its model for under €10,000. If it manages to get close to €9,000, it could even overshadow the CF Moto 675 SR-R and even the Triumph Daytona 660.
