With its 6-cylinder engine, the Goldwing has incredible potential. But to turn it into a machine worthy of the circuits, it had to go all the way.
The modifications that make a difference
We’re not talking about simply changing the paint or adding some gadgets. No, Cedric completely reinvented the motorcycle:
- Chassis and engine: The essence of the Goldwing 1800 is preserved because its 6-cylinder engine is a true marvel.
- Front suspension: Thanks to the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 for the loan. With this, we ensure a sporty ride.
- Swingarm and fairing: Straight from the Honda CBR1000RR. That’s right, you read correctly.
It’s like taking a luxury SUV and putting Formula 1 parts on it. Totally crazy, but it works!
The electrical system, a huge puzzle
The real ordeal in this project was redoing the entire electrical system. Of course, the fairings from the CBR1000RR are not made for a Goldwing. It was like assembling a puzzle to make everything work perfectly. But Cedric managed to overcome the challenge with flying colors.
How does it perform on the road? Good question… Cedric is very discreet with the figures. But looking at the appearance of the machine, we bet it is formidable in the curves and on the straight.
