Hyosung GV125X: the bold rebirth of the 125 cc in 2025

Hyosung arrives with everything in 2025 with the new GV125X! Say goodbye to classic designs, and welcome a sport custom that oozes urban rebellion. If you like motorcycles with style and a lot of character, this could be your next acquisition. With its V-twin engine, a rarity in the 125 cc category, and its sharp appearance, this bike does not go unnoticed. Priced at €4,899, it is approved for A1 and B licenses, ideal for new riders or those who want a cool bike without venturing into big bike territory.
A V2 engine that delights
Hyosung continues to offer a V-twin in its GV125X, and that is a true plus! Unlike single-cylinder engines, this 124.7 cc engine promises a good extension and a smoother performance. With 14 hp at 10,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque, extreme performance isn’t expected, but for a 125, it’s more than respectable.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, allowing optimization of driving both in city and on fast roads. Regarding fuel consumption, Hyosung claims a very reasonable 2.8 l/100 km. With its 15-liter tank, it promises a range of around 400 km. Ideal for those who cover many kilometers.
A frame suited for urban and peri-urban areas
The chassis of the GV125X seems well thought out for urban and peri-urban use. It is equipped with 16-inch front tires and 15-inch rear tires, ensuring good stability. With a seat height of 780 mm, it is accessible for a wide variety of users, including shorter individuals.
The weight of 172 kg in running order is a bit high for a 125, but with a twin-cylinder and a large tank, it is understandable. We hope it does not feel too heavy in the city.
A package that has it all
Hyosung has not forgotten to add some cool gadgets. The GV125X is equipped with a USB A port, convenient for charging your phone or connecting a GPS. It also features full LED lighting and a modern digital instrument panel. As for the warranty, it is 2 years, which is standard but reassuring.
